That's a moose stew on top of polenta (that's a fancy California word for grits) and it was delicious!
The moose virgin (your blogger extraordinaire) has to serve the thing - I don't know if that's tradition or if the guys at my table were having a laugh at my expense, but when in Rome...
And of course what's a moose entree without a mouse desert?!
