In this particular case, I think it's fine when someone of a group holds a spot for a friend, A friend, but what's with a whole office sending one employee to hold the line for the whole place? I'm standing behind a woman who keeps checking her phone and I just know she's waiting on people to make the 38 people in front of me even more.
But I don't expect it to be a whole damn office. So I said something to them, which is totally out of character for me but come on, that's ridiculous. They let be go in front of them at least, but what about the other ten people who were behind me that they cut?
Seriously - people have no decency. Just because there's someone you know in line doesn't make it okay to jump the rest of the line if there's another 50 people there. If there are two people in line, who cares - but this is the damn lunch rush. Everyone is on a schedule. Except me... but they don't know that.
