For those of you who know anything about me, I am a nut for serial television (read, anything that has continuity one episode to the next, ie "24" or "LOST" or "The Wire".) In serial television it's pretty much understood that, because one episode by definition depends on the others before it, that story lines will continue throughout the season, if not series. Thus enters my pet peave - serial TV shows that put "to be continued..." at the end of an episode.

DUH!
What do you think we are? Idiots? We know the show is to be continued, not only in the next episode but in subsequest episodes NOT labeled with the "to be continued..." moniker. Sheesh - I think this goes to my real pet peave about television in general though (and again, this comes from a place of love, as my feelings for TV run deep and unabated) - I think people involved in the biz think people who watch shows are dumber than the people who create and write shows. We are not - we get it, you don't have to spell it out for us.
Get over yourselves...

AMEN brother. You crack me up.
My pet peeve is when people begin parenthesis but do not end them... which is what you did in your moms description!
Hi how are you? I like your blog, except that I am not on it anywhere! See you later.
